|Sean Maloney

Description of the meal: Korean Spicy Marinated Pork with Dragon's Breath is a savory and spicy dish that features tender pork marinated in a rich blend of Korean spices and chilies. It's often served with kimchi, a fermented vegetable side dish that adds a tangy crunch to the meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pork shoulder, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 2 tablespoons Dragon's Breath
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green chili, sliced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi, for serving
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine gochujang, gochugaru, Dragon's Breath, sesame oil, rice wine, garlic, ginger, and sugar to make the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced pork to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork slices, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced onion and chilies to the pan, cooking until tender.
  5. Serve the spicy pork hot, with kimchi and cooked white rice on the side.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions and additional Dragon's Breath.

Notes:

  • You can easily sub out the pork with your protein of choice
