Egg Rolls

Description of the meal: Egg Rolls are a classic Chinese-American appetizer featuring a crispy outer shell and a savory filling. These rolls are typically filled with a mixture of vegetables, meat, and sometimes noodles, creating a delightful contrast of textures.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • 1/2 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup julienned carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 Tablespoons, Dragon's Breath
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sweet and sour sauce for dipping

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until browned.
  2. Add the cabbage, carrots, green onions, and Dragon's Breath. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the mixture is well combined.
  3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing toward you.
  4. Spoon a couple of tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  5. Fold the corner closest to you over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly away from you.
  6. Moisten the edges with water to seal the egg roll.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve with sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
